In perhaps the most exciting concert of the year, we have a visit from the celebrated violinist Maxim Vengerov who many regard as the greatest violinist alive today. It will be a tremendous experience to hear him play the glittering, ethereal qualities of Prokofiev’s First Violin Concerto. The first half will also see Vengerov accompanying the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra in a performance of Alexey Shor’s melodious and evocative contemporary piece, Seascapes for Violin and Symphony Orchestra.
